I saw a video earlier today by "Real Life Lore" on the actual logistics of invading the base. Its 85 miles to the meet point NW of Las Vegas, even if only a few thousand people showed up it would be insane for them all to get there at once. they'd need food and water. THEN have to hike up several mountains and cross 26 miles of barren hot ass desert where thy easily be spotted miles away, then have to contend with god knows what sort of automated defense systems and armed guards with lethal force approval. I mean someone could make it in like that but they wouldn't be around much longer. #clapthemcheeks

I doubt anyone would be able to get in. Now this isn't some strange outpost, it's the Air Force's playground. Whoever is charged with guarding the perimeter that day won't be just a random private, they will very likely be handpicked.

Area 51 is just one "area" in the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). There's nothing going on here outside the capability of the site security. The security force for NNSS is a private contractor. It was, for many years, EG&G and is currently AECOM which is a descendant corporation of EG&G.

They've been dealing with mass-arrest scenarios for decades. In 1987, about 2000 people showed up at the NNSS to protest nuclear weapons. There were 438 people that tried to storm the gate and all of them were arrested. Included in the group of arrestees were Carl Sagan and Martin Sheen.

That test site is really huge. There has got to be some pristine, never touched Indian or otherwise sites/ruins that have probably never been seen or investigated due to the military presence.

BTW: The USAF doesn't use the term Area 51. The airport is called Homey Airport or Groom Lake. The area is marked on official maps as Range 4808A.
