I had to do a Phoenix to Memphis drive for a job. I tried to keep my eyes peeled and stretch the legs when I could but still had to make it in 2 days (then two days home). Here's a smattering of shots from the big camera plus some antique film cameras.

Awesome pics...the old farmhouses make me think of the dust bowl/depression era. I especially love that 3rd shot. Thanks for sharing! 😊

The storm shelter was an exciting find. It was to the right of the house in the first photo. There were no roads at all to it, just some fences and hiking. Found it by accident, getting off the highway to get back to another spotted place.

Thanks for the comment on the 3rd shot. I let myself well overprocess that one for fun's sake. It was so windy there I gave up on my hat and also had to block the wind with my window sun shade (I carry it for shielding wind and rain; it can even help with reflection. Weighs nothing and compacts).

I really like number 15. Great scene. The film shots are really interesting. What is your vintage set up?

Thanks.
The black and white 35mm was shot in a 1933 Kodak Jiffy (616 format):

And the Redscale (flipped) 35mm was shot in a 1953 Kodak Brownie (620 format):

The b/w film used was expired Ilford Delta 100.
And the Redscaled 800 was pulled out of a cheap disposable camera.

I still have an unfinished roll from the trip sitting in this camera:

Always great work. I think #1 was spot on. I love the trees and the balance of sky and foreground.

That's really cool. I have a Brownie and may just try that. I need to get a second spool for it. I understand you can respool 120 film to use in it as well.

To run 35mm, you only need one spool for winding onto. Just place the 35mm where the other spool would go. Center it and it will stay put. Tape the 35mm end to the brownie's winding roll and you're good to go.

You will have to tape over the red window and rewind the 35 back into the canister in the dark.

Cool! I time one of those jiffys in an original box in an abandoned house once. One of the coolest times I've found in a house.
