I met up with a guy who was willing to play along with any rules I threw at him, and was eager to learn more about the hobby.

It's a pretty good mission statement I think. Same guy might make a few more videos of other local explorers before moving to the next country.

No, he's based here for now and just goes around the country and makes videos about people doing things here. Future videos will include a pro wrestling group, a punk festival, and tattooists.

He knew what he was getting into and came into the project with a pretty good sense of the ethics, to the point where I figure he must've done a lot of preparatory research.

We actually ended up having some pretty insane encounters over three days of filming, to the point where I called him a good luck charm. In one room on the first day we found a script describing the raid on the NK embassy in Spain, and on the last day we ended up stumbling into a shaman's house which is somewhat seen in the last half of the video. The video was a little less in the moment than I would have liked but also he proved his ability to hide some pretty big fucked up secrets.
