I don't know much history on this place other than that it was built in 1920. In 1925, a large car company bought the plant and upgraded it to their needs. It was closed in the late 80's, but bought in the 90's by a tool company. In 2013, a new owner bought the factory and said that it would be renovated into a factory for modular homes. He said the factory would be opened within 6 months, but instead stripped the factory of all its value and left it vacant. This was the biggest building I've ever been to. its hard to believe something so big could be abandoned. We didn't have much time in here, but I took as many pics as I could. I would definitely like to return here.

Nice work man!

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

It actually smelled more like oil, but there was most definitely the smell of decay. I was using my friends camera. I relly like it. It’s super easy to use and the pics look great. Sooo much better than the phone.

Cool spot. Factories are great. Good job at trying to get some better pics too.

I see you've made that trip! And yeah, these pictures are quite sharp. This place is awesome but I still haven't been in. I went past it a few times but was warned that the security could be violent so I never did it. I saw pictures of a little power or steam plant in the back, was it there?

Edit: can't wait to see the rest of the pics from this trip!

I think it was, but we didn’t get a chance to look at it. I saw no hint that there was ever security there. There were actually some homeless and other explorers there. There wasn’t even an area of a fence that seemed like it could open. Maybe we just got lucky.

Yeah they are actually. They’re all hockey cards from the early 90’s. A collector was storing his cards there but passed away. There were thousands of them. After the place became vacant, people started opening them, throwing them around, and burning them.

We're gonna get there. We don't need a whereabouts.
