Here's my contribution...taken from various explores and one tour.
1. This is from what started as a motel in the 1920's, and became a convalescent center in the 50's.
2. Another old nursing home...sadly, I was too late to see it before the fire. Soooo...a topless corridor!
3. From a nice little hospital in Siler City, NC...sadly, now demolished (and before I could re-shoot and get some better shots!)
4. Same hospital, up on the 3rd floor.
5. And the 2nd floor (which was blue!).
6. A very large nursing care facility; downstairs in the social area.
7. And upstairs with the patient rooms.
8. A pretty well known asylum...quite an incredible explore!
9. Another (higher security) asylum, where the paint's the peeliest!
10. And yet ANOTHER, more modern asylum. (Are we sensing a theme here?)
11. Pretty cool, creepy hospital in the mountains...if the wallpaper borders aren't a giveaway, I'm near maternity and the nursery.
12. I've put this pic up in other threads, but it's worth showing again. Coming out of the OR's, I saw some shadowy fluttering in the meager light ahead. I turn on my light, and...bats! I felt this action shot was decent compensation for my sudden adrenaline spike.
13. Yep, another hospital...
14. Same one as above, I liked the peaked archways.
15. This is from a pretty big school that had suffered a fire after abandonment; lots of artwork and 'artifacts' left behind.
16. Here is one of the fire damaged corridors.
17. Partially demo'ed, this was once a nursing care facility.
18. A TB sanatorium.
19. A dark hallway in a small rural school.
20. This is a partially demo'ed elementary school that was built in the late 1930's. The light at the end of the tunnel? Well, some call it progress...but it's slow going.
21. Creepy, dirty, overgrown and peely hallway in an old hospital. Vault 22 is calling...
22. A gutted old Naval hospital in the deep south.
23. These last two are from a tour I went on...normally I prefer not to pay for an explore; but this was beyond worth it!
24. Same tour, in solitary.
This is a good thread, great work everyone!
