Posted by G to the Race Too much. When I'm driving my wife yells at me for "gawking off to the left" to see what's happening or being passed by on the roadside. I've seen the bolts that hold highway streetlights to their base go from ornate seashell covered to boring "just bolts." It's pretty amazing what the quotidienne life has that gets overlooked all the time. Months ago I saw a grown woman on a bmx bike, this was awesome to me.

She's got a point if you are moving and not grabbing quick darting eye glances.
More important to be aware of roadway hazards in front, to the sides and in back of you.
At least it wasn't a good looking petite she caught you gawking at

The unexpected can happen anywhere, at any moment.

Constantly - perhaps even a bit too much. At any given time I can tell you where the exits are, descriptions of the people around me, etc. Part of this probably comes from growing up in a rough area...part probably comes from working in behavioral health.
