| | | I'm a student at the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!), and I'm actually in a very interesting English class "Inquiry into the Paranormal and the Supernatural." I had no idea that was the subject of the course before taking it, however, it was a pleasant surprise. I'm definitely a skeptic when discussing the supernatural, but I love horror and gothic themes so it's always interesting to me. I was wondering if any fellow explorers had any ghost stories they'd like to share? Or old articles/letters and weird things you've found, etc. Basically, anything that relates to the paranormal? Thanks, and happy exploring! - Sarah

| | | I've been trolling random abandoned buildings for longer than I care to admit, and I've never seen anything. Abandoned hospital in my town- used to get in there day, night, during storms (the best time actually). Spent hours at a time in there alone, sometimes in the pitch black basement wondering around with a flashlight. Never saw a thing, never felt frightened. The only thing I can think of that could even be construed as paranormal is once on the battleship USS North Carolina, I was wandering around taking some pics with my (at the time) state of the art Sony Mavica FD. At a certain stairway, the camera presented an error message akin to "battery not recognized" and shut off. I had never seen that message before, and I kept using that camera for random things for another 10 years and never saw it again. I think most "ghost" experiences are the result of confirmation bias. The same hospital I spent literal days in snooping around was loudly proclaimed to be "haunted" by a "paranormal research" group who spent two hours in it on a Saturday night. I actually work in a hospital now that is supposedly haunted on a certain floor. Never seen anything there either.
