After pouring over Max's following on instagram (just took a random sample). I can see that he's got 737 followers and following 931. And of the random sample of 23 that I selected for viewing, 12 were similar Urbex accounts with less than 300 followers, four were shitty meme accounts, and the other 7 were suspicious accounts with less than one hundred followers, and following over 500 (prime spam accounts). Max would know how active his follower base is if he maintained a business account he would know what his follower base's interactions look like. The fact that he doesn't remains suspicious to me, and likely suggests the use of a third party instagram metrics software.


From my looks, he averages about 150 likes per post (excluding videos). This is unusually high for that number of followers. Now I can't speak to his youtube account, because I don't know shit about youtube (I do portrait photography on film and am a paid photographer though so I feel as though I can speak on it). But, I can pretty well say with a high level of confidence that at least a decent fraction (I estimate about a third) of Max's follower base on instagram is composed of spam accounts that inflate his engagement. There are easily accessible resources that can inflate your follower account with profiles like these. And many of them offer a free trial for a given amount of time before asking for payment.


It's one thing to blatantly violate forum guidelines repeatedly by showing entrances. It's another thing to brazenly disrespect members of this forum. And still yet another thing to pull content aimed at other platforms into this unique online forum community and expect it to be well received. But what really bothers me here is the vapid, unfulfilling bullshit we're receiving from someone who requests other people have a specific follower count to be blessed with his presence (https://uer.ca/for...=1&threadid=129932) when his own is inflated.


It genuinely concerns me how his influence will effect the likes of new UER members who are here to seek guidance in their introduction into urban exploration. I believe it was Blackhawk that mentioned already that one member has been denied full membership thank's to Max's influences. I don't want to see this happen to anyone else.

Update: I used some online sources to check and audit Max's account on instagram, and I can now say with 100% certainty that Max is inflating his activity with bot accounts on Instagram. For comparison, I also included the engagement rates for the most followed accounts on instagram (Kylie Jenner and Justin Bieber), as well as my own account which has 1000 followers.

The engagement rate formula is the sum of all likes, comments, and views on a post, divided by the number of followers you have. (You can also divide by the total number of posts or a subset of posts to get engagement over s period of time). The engagement rates listed are for the entirety of these accounts.

Here's what upsets me, because of him there's so many people on here saying "this is what's wrong with this younger explorer generation". I've followed this website for years before making an account and truly appreciated it. When I finally made an account, I read over the rules and began posting and everything. I have an Instagram and Youtube channel as well but I'm not... how do I put the decently?.. An self-entitled idiot? I learned the rules and I have messed up with not realizing locations were in pictures on small signs or something, but I was told and immediately deleted those pictures or took the advice. I don't post entry points/locations or use clickbait to get views. Everybody on here is helpful if you're respectful. You can tell you're an immature idiot that can't handle constructive criticism to better yourself. Max stop being a wannabe famous dick. You're making the rest of us young explorers that truly don't care about our teenage following count look bad, asshole.

Wow hate at its finest. Your audit sucked. I have multiple accounts with 1k-200k followers following my insta. And I have never bought bot accounts. Looks like my engagement rate is excellent.

I can say with 100% certainty that you pathetic low lifes will do anything to discredit me. Even doing research to try and create some conspiracy theories around my follower count.
