For my first exploration of the year, I found myself at a kind of location I hadn't seen before. I've come across abandoned cars alone or in small groups at locations before, but this was the first time I've seen a true automotive graveyard for myself.

This country garage has been closed and forgotten in a completely untouched state since the owner's death, nearly fifteen years ago. The power is still on, the building is still as securely locked as any place I've ever seen, and the property and the hillside across the road are littered with the rusting forms of at least fifty cars and trucks, the majority of which date from the late 40's-early 50's. The photos here show less than half of the total collection. There's a wide variety of makes and models represented here, including Fords, Chevrolets, Chryslers, Pontiacs, Kaisers and Hudsons. If anyone here with more knowledge than me wants to chime in to help identify the models I show here, please do.

For real... Very cool man...

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

That was an amazing find! I really liked #3. People use do so many wide shots with abandoned stuff, it's nice to see things that actually have depth and subjects instead of the usual grimy wall or big room.

These are amazing, #3 is one of the coolest pictures I've ever seen in my life. I'm happy to see these are untouched I think I'd be sick if I saw them in any other state.

They say I gotta respect the system, but there ain't no respect in that system for me.
