Trip Up North

So I took a 4 day weekend up to Pgh, Cleveland, and Detroit. I spent a lot of time doing other things but got some exploring in. I got did no exploring in Cleveland. In Detroit, my dad my me do some tour because he thought it was gonna be legal. Turns out it still wasn't, but he seemed more chill knowing that it wouldn't be his fault if he got caught. It was in the temps were in the negatives (f) at some points and I only had shorts. The next day in Detroit I tried the Fisher plant. Probably the easiest access of any place I've been to. But my dad freaked out when he saw that there were no stairs and you had to actually climb something. We drove to Pittsburgh that day too. In pgh we rode some more but also tried a power plant. Security was tight to say the least. We got to the front gate and saw cameras everywhere so we just decided to check out the coal conveyor belts around the outside. A maintenance truck happened to be in the site as well so they came and kicked us out. All in all, fun trip but not much exploring. Some of the pics turned out weird but I couldn't quite figure out what it was. Some of the colors may be a little wonky, but I'm experimenting with new stuff so hopefully I'll get the hang of it.

1. Church/school in Detroit

2. An office in the back of the church

3. Light ray in a old vehicle maintenance place

4. The cafeteria at a factory. These colors were weird but I couldn't figure out what is was about them.

5. The front entrance of that factory. I wan't fond of this shot either but it was a cool stair set and I didn't have any other pics of it.

6. A floor of that factory

7. Again at that factory

8. Different factory this time, still empty tho

9. I don't know how you guys like posting the outsides of buildings but I only had one pic of this place. It's not like it's hard to find anyway.

10. A conveyor belt connecting the coal mine to the power plant

11. Where the conveyor went to split off into more conveyors.

This concludes my trip. Apparently I need to find new people to explore with before I miss anymore opportunities. I think I'll be going back again this summer so hopefully I can actually get into and fully explore some places ;)

10/11- That's the haulage line that connects the surface buildings to the spoil heap.

The first shot of the church is awesome, honestly one of my favorite shots I've seen of a church on this site so far

Fantastic work young buck! Keep it up, and stay safe....

That makes more sense. The maintenance guy said something about it being a coal mine but I knew he wasn't very knowledgeable from some other little things he said. You're a Pgh local, have you been in? I feel like there has to be other people who've done it. Pm me if needed.
