Stumbled across this place on the coast while hiking along the beach back in 2017. Its boarded up pretty good and there were some neighbors outside working on their property when I first visited so I didnt stick around too long. Anybody been out this way, or been inside? I recently re-visited and there was some sort of park ranger patrolling the area but it looked to be in the same condition.

Probably bought twenty cans of "pink" from the nearest Habitat for Humanity ReStore!

It bugs me that the pinks don't match up.

Because its on the coast, I think its actually all the same shade of pink, just applied at different times in the past.

Neat, weird find. Bizarre that they felt the need to paint (repaint?) the house after it was boarded up. I never really thought the coast would be the place to look for abandonment — If it's on the Cali coast, it's probably decently valuable land... wonder what the story is with this lot. Did the ranger look like he was specifically keeping watch on this house, or just the area in general?

If you ever go back and are feeling brave, some indoor exploring could be fascinating and shed some light on when/why the place was abandoned.

Its on the CA coast. After some more digging, I recently discovered this property has been acquired by a group trying to turn it into a county park.
