New user, I've been exploring abandoned places around the area for a few years now! Recently got a camera and have been trying to take my shot at abandoned photography. I'm looking to improve any constructive criticism on how to make my pictures pop a bit more? Maybe links to tutorials? Good gear I should look into purchasing? I currently am shooting with a Canon 80D!

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

Welcome to the board.

Tagging in general is neither admired nor encouraged in this community. You'll probably find as the years go by that it's the untouched and largely undiscovered locations that stick with you the most. They have a charm and a magic to them that popular graffiti spots don't.

Clearly you've had some time to stock up on photos, big set!

20 in particular is nice. I rode past the location in 25, 26, and 27 last year on a motorcycle trip to Utah and had planned on checking it out but I was too late, demolition was in progress (May 2018) and is probably finished by now.

Looking forward to visiting Oregon again this year, I'd love to track down the location in #10, I've seen it pop up on this board before and it stuck with me.

Yeah! I have the address to #10 if you need it! It's rumored that the owner lives right next to it. I've also heard you can get permission to explore it if you want! Also about the Bleach tags, I agree that tagging is lame but, I'd rather see Bleach than other tags that just look like scribbles or just a word with no personality. I look at it in the way that at least Bleach adds a personality to their work. I don't condone tagging and I personally don't do it.

In my opinion, this is the trespassers moral hierarchy:
harmless photographers like you and me > legitimately talented graffiti artists > taggers > scrappers

Anyway, nice shots. It was refreshing to see some I don't recognize. That church is pretty!

Sorry dude - I appreciate your contributions, and these pics as well. I get that art is subjective, but in my opinion there is no graffiti "art" there. That is all shit tags. Zero artistic value in any one of those images. Not one of his "works" is better than doodles in the margins of a high school students notebook. He may as well be painting dicks. Bleach can lick my pimply white ass. I hope he is on probation, completing community service, scraping gum off sidewalks and painting over his own shit.

This is graffiti art:

This is 100% shit:
