Military Pipeline Depot

I guess you could call this my first large location of 2019.

The Government Pipelines & Storage System was a large network of fuel depots tasked with supplying fuel to nearby military bases along an interconnected underground pipeline system which at one time stretched over 1600 miles around the country. There isn't much information online about this site at all but it appears to have closed somewhere around 2006. I've explored a few of these now and this one is my favourite, compared to the others it has far more left behind and although smaller than them I found a lot more interesting.

Its been a while since I explored a large military site so it made a welcome change on a bleak windswept January morning.

Nothing, all the cans and jars were empty. But during it's operational life it was a small lab for quality control checks on the oil and fuel.

Oh I see it now, the glass is just heavily discolored.

A number of the storage depots have closed and been disconnected from the remaining network, yes. All the underground tanks are full of water now.
