You all will probably recognize this place as it is in fact open to the public. If you've been then you know the struggle to get unique pictures, and if you haven't then imagine Horseshoe Bend but it's a cell block. According to Google Maps I also went at an extremely busy time. This trip acted partly as a scouting trip for the power plants but also just a trip to see family so it at least wasn't a total waste of a trip. Here are a few I snagged. With such limited angles I tried to a least have my own style in editing. I also did as much as I could to make it look more abandoned than it is. Maybe it worked, maybe it didn't, let me know what you think.

1.
I had to get this shot just to have it in my collection.

2.
Again another crazy over shot room but I just wanted to have the picture.

3.
Same cell block as picture one, just from an angle I hadn't seen before.

4.
This was one of the closed off cell blocks. There was also another one that was much more secluded and had an eerie fog rolling though but I botched the shot by getting part of the gate in it. I was tempted to hop it and roam the abandoned parts of the jail but I knew someone would see me and confiscate my stuff so I didn't risk it.

first shot is really nice. I lived in this area for a while and never did the tour here.

Yes, it been done hundreds of times, but, enjoyed your take very much. I would take the chair shot if i got to go too! Just for my own info. Why is it that they have certain parts that are prohibited. I can understand not letting people roam the upper deck as it might be dangerous...but, way not the lower? Looks awful interesting. Love your B&W and the first shot is Awesome with the green highlights

Come on Dude, give us a look at the one with fog rolling in...it couldnt be that bad

This. Plus pretty much any of your photos are bound to be better than quite a few UER members, especially mine haha.

The best time to go here is early on a rainy shitty morning, I've been here twice and on my second visit when it was miserable and wet outside I went nearly the entire time without seeing anyone else.

Probably worried about stuff falling off the upper levels or roof.

They have plans to open up the entire hospital wing to the public in the near future, I can't wait to see inside there.

Thanks everyone! Here's the jpg I got with the gate blocking it. I could pretty easily just photoshop it out but I'd rather it be real.

I like it! Can definitely see the fog. You could do wonders with this in photoshop like you said, but, it has that creepy factor the way it is. Thanks for being a good sport and putting it up....
