Why bother? Over the years you get used to it and you learn how to navigate around them...

But the Christmas cacophony is one of the best parts of UER!

Why remove it?? You should embrace it!! And there's a setting to remove the Santa and the reindeers somewhere in options...

EDIT: It removes the whole Christmas theme

If you look carefully there are hidden subliminal messages in Morris code on the flashing snowflakes.

after 15 years, you get used to it and can pretty much navigate around it... and honestly, I think Av goes out of his way to find the most obscure, most terrible Christmas music he can just for the occasion.

I use "Youtube Downloader". It's free, just Google it and grab it from a trusted source. I prefer Download.com, if you can navigate all the fake download buttons.... I can save videos, then I use Audacity to strip intros and outros on music and save them as Mp3....

Thanks! Had used "Yummy" in the past, 16 Bucks.

I like Internet Archive because a lot of times you can download videos in high quality formats like MKV, MPEG, AVI, etc.

Funny thing is, all my stuff there in HD IS MP4...

I used to be annoyed by it, now I look forward to it. I've heard the music before, but I don't know. I wonder if I disabled it at some point.

Listen good or suffer if you are or ever will be an audiophile. Or if you just like to hear what was really recorded!
The audio format dirty truth courtesy of blackhawk.

For music always use wav files or higher ie HDCD*, 24 bit otherwise you might find the need to re-rip everything.
Try playing harpsichord on anything less than wav; sounds like crap on mp3,4.
You lose low bass and highes above 15 khz.
Even worse these highes are critical for sound stage replication when listening via stereo or more speakers.
In the air the sound waves collide forming secondary audio waves ie 20khz + 10khz audio wave gives a secondary 10 khz wave which is audible.
These secondary audio waves plus 3rd, 4th audio derivatives are what forms the sound stage presence.
Done right you will be electroacousticly coupled to the original sound stage. This is impossible to do with a mp3 file.
Without this the music is flat.

*many CDs are HDCDs, many are not marked. An HDCD can have up 22 bit resolution if play back through 24 bit DACs. Toshlink not stereo coxial cables must be used between equipment ie player>computer>stereo reciever to preserve the HDCD subtext. The computer must support 24 bit audio to playback ripped HDCDs to glean the 22 bit subtext. No decoder is needed for HDCDs if you preserve the 24 bit pathway; you glean about 94% of the subtext in the recording.
Deeper lows and higher highs due to the increased frequency range too. Bass cutoff for mp3 is about 60 hz, you can hear bass down to about 20hz and feel it even lower.
