Thursday, week ago, was Finland’s independence day. Even my girlfriend did have day off from work, so I did have car to use for few hours near midday. I did decide drive far to countryside and check if one of my latest map finds would be what it did look like by aerial photos.

Cold, beautiful day, but of course sun was shining from low, so most of the world still were pretty dark. After parking my car quite far, I did start my final journey with 800 meters forest section. After that I did arrive to very small road which goes by that house to fields.

Of course there were fresh footprints of man and dog on snow, going to same direction where I was ment to go. For a short while I did wonder if I should turn back, but I didn’t. Footprints did lead to those fields, so I did get to check that house… and yes, it was abandoned. Sadly I just couldn't get myself in with that ”he will return at any moment" feel. But few photos from outside anyway and of course I will return someday.

After those I did return to my car. Day was still so beautiful, that I did decide to go check if I could find any photos from place that I’ve known for a while. Two years ago there still were two walls standing, now just one.

Then I did decide to get back home. But… driving quite close to these cars at abandoned farm, I did go there too.

I wait it so much too. It really feels like forest would be alive, I mean taking over that place, literally. Now I'm wondering should I wait to spring or get back there even before... time will tell.
