This church was left vacant when the congregation built a new one up the road. At one point a woman was living in the school section of this building, with no power, heat or running water. Her personal belongings can be found scattered all around. Supposedly she had been removed from the premises on multiple occasions, only to return and was eventually put in a psych ward for a time. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Most of the classrooms were filled wall to wall with stuff and nearly impossible to get decent shots of. The highlights here were the completely intact church area, even several priests robes were left behind, and the dining area complete with a small stage.

Thank you so much! We did find the woman's ID and her name was not Dorthy, unfortunately. It was some other generic old lady name lol.

Good to see you caught on to my Doobie Brothers reference. I often caption my shots with song lyrics, some more obscure than others.

No robe modeling this time haha, they were a bit crusty.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I did the black and white mixed with color photo by using selective coloring in Photoshop. There are several ways to do it, but the easiest is to add a black and white layer and then take the black and white off the parts you want to be color. If you google search "selective color photoshop" or similar you will find several tutorials going over different ways to get that effect.

Oh gosh, I love that auditorium.
