This post office is pretty amazing. In the 60's they built a new, more modern post office across the street and no longer had a need to use this one. It was several businesses before it closed in the early 90's( the last bushiness being a Mexican restaurant). It was slated to be demolished, but somebody stepped in the last moment and bought it. It now has a new roof and they are about to put new windows in. When i went the renovations had just started.

That really is a cool place. LOVE the arched doorways and the marble in the bathroom. Shocking that the toilets haven't been smashed! Nice to know someone is going to throw some money at it, and hopefully make use of it.

Thanks for sharing....

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

Me too, man. I'm excited to see it when its finished. When it was abandoned it was impossible to get into.I tried on many occasions. But after they started to renovate it, they left the back gate open.

Hopefully when it is done, you can post some before and after pics!

Very cool, even though it's gutted! I like the marble around the toilets, it really contrasts with the rest of the gutted room and building. Great job!

I'm here for a good time not a long time.

These are beautiful. It's awesome that you were able to get in and that it wasn't demolished. These look like something straight out of an old film.
