This was a tough explore. Not just because of implications, but because of the almost completely or total lack of light (hence the light painting and or gels) in the bunkers.

Much of this abandoned missile testing facility is half signed in Russian. The signage was part of the inspection stipulation of the 1991 START Treaty for the reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms with the U.S.S.R..

3 combined shots. One with me wildly waving some purple lights behind the old computers with the reds on, one with me flashlighting from the right, and one with some front fill.

Wow. What a great explore and pics! Thanks for sharing!!

#1 and #7 are like screenshots from a video game. I love it when you do stuff with artificial light.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the words.
The amount of old tech left is pretty crazy. The filing cabinets marked "classified" are cleaned out.
It was interesting how little decay much of it has sustained but bunkers will be bunkers. The peeling paint/rust of steel items (see tool box or chair feet) compared to the still pretty aluminum computer equipment was fascinating.
As you can see the roads are pretty cracked up and grown over now too.

Since this got some tech interest, here's a few crappy cell phone shots for good measure.

Love the shots! Cold war stuff has always been very interesting in my opinion. Those control panels make it all so much better!

I'm here for a good time not a long time.

Holy Sh$t, this set is amazing. I am stunned at the amount of equipment left intact in that bunker. The tape readers and old computers. Amazing find and thank you so much for sharing with us!!!!

Some of those pictures bring back memories. When I started my career in programming we all had terminals just like those. 24 x 80 white characters on a black screen. We were in tall cotton when we got upgraded to the green characters on a black screen. Can't tell you how many tapes I've hung through the years. Not the fancy auto-threaders either, manual ones. Just before I retired one of the guys found a little handheld device in an old filing cabinet. When he couldn't figure out what it was, I showed him that it was a clipper that would cut a semi-circular end on the magnetic tape so it would feed through an automatic threading tape drive. I kept a couple of boxes of 8" and 5 1/4" floppies in my desk. After I retired they gathered up all of my old computer memorabilia and started a mini-museum in one corner of the computer room.

Memories...
