Posted by mortifer Nice, I dont think it would be demolished, its more likely someone would buy the place to fix up.

It really depends on why it was abandoned. I found this place just the other week:
https://www.uer.ca...=1&threadid=128757 Evidence showed it was abandoned between 2001 - 2005. It was really a nice house, sans the horrid wall paper, and quite restore-able. But when it was abandoned, it was purchased by the same developer that owns the neighboring industrial park. It will continue to rot until either the city makes them raze it, or the developer is ready to use the land.
I have also been in houses that were rotting away while the children fought in court over who gets Mom and Dad's house. And homes that fell into the hands of the state for lack of a will, then the state did nothing with it because, well, gov't....
There must be countless other reasons. In short, one would hope such a beautiful home would find a family. But it seems regardless of how beautiful, historical, or well located a home is, it is not out of the reach of decay. So very sad.....
Posted by SnowThrasher I went back a few pages and didnt see any posts from this spot before.
