I'm sure that those of you who have been in the game for a while now have experienced this.

Places that were flavour of the month for maybe a very short time, places that are now standing no longer through either demolition or redevelopment that are now buried in the depths of your archive and memories. Locations that you loved for a while but are now all but forgotten.

I've gathered a lot of these over the last ~almost~ decade of exploring, and below are a few of the places I have loved - and lost - and sometimes forgotten - over the years that deserve a spotlight.

1. St. Gerard's Orthopaedic/TB Hospital, Coleshill UK. Visited June 2011, now demolished.

2. Lillesden School for Girls, Hawkhurst UK. Visited October 2010, now fully restored and converted into a stunning apartment building.

3. Foster Bros Mill, Gloucester UK. Visited July 2012, suffered a devastating fire in 2016 and was subsequently demolished.

4. The Abbey School, Tewkesbury UK. Visited October 2011, now renovated into apartments.

5. Tree Mansion, Belgium. Visited March 2013, now demolished. It wasn't really a mansion despite the name, it was just a regular farmhouse.

6. Angel Croft Hotel, Lichfield UK. Visited August 2014, now redeveloped.

7. BIBRA (British Industrial Biological Research Agency), Carshalton UK. Visited August 2010, now demolished. I was one of very very few people who ever got in here. I think we managed 45 minutes inside before tripping an alarm and GTFOing.

8. Ford Iron Ore Foundry, Leamington Spa UK. Visited January 2011, now demolished.

9. Barrow Gurney Hospital, near Bristol UK. Visited August 2011, now demolished.

10. Frith Park aka 'The Acid House', Walton-on-the-Hill UK. Visited April 2015, now demolished (despite the developer saying they'd save the frontage).

I'll stop at ten before it gets too much.

I hope you enjoyed a casual meander down memory lane.

Thanks for the memories

Only been exploring seriously for three years or so but even in that short time I have a couple places I miss. Size or grandeur notwithstanding.

The Red House, RI, USA, first place I ever explored before I even knew what urbex was. Demolished and replaced by two new houses.

CNJ Office Installers, RI, USA, first factory/large location of any kind, second place ever explored. Demolished except for one building; it's now a series of confusing roundabouts.

P&A Mills, CT, USA, I've never seen so much stuff in one abandoned place in my life and I probably never will again. Demolished except for the front staircase tower (iirc).

The OT Building at Norwich State, CT, USA, first hospital or medical campus I'd explored of any kind. OT is demolished, other buildings are following suite.
