Rural explores are always some of my favorite. Less risk, great scenery, and quiet drives. I explored this place almost a year ago. Everything was shot on a Nikon D7200 and edited in Lightroom. Enjoy!

This school closed its doors in the late 90's with its oldest building dating back to the start of the 20th century. While I couldn't find much information about the cause of closure, it is likely that the school district consolidated to a different location. Unfortunately this place has encountered a lot of graffiti and vandalism over the years. Even in its current state, this was a pretty good place to explore.

#1 - View from the back of the property

#2 - An old garage

#5

#6 - What's left of the heavily burnt auditorium

#7

#9

#10 - Curious what this machine could be

#11

#12 - Old pianos are always a pleasant surprise

#13

#14

#15 - One of my favorite finds at this place

Wow, beautiful pics! I especially like 3 and 7, but they're all great. I recently visited an old elementary school, and it had a similar bathroom, but with a single desk by the urinals...seems like you don't see those "to the floor" style urinals much anymore. That old piano looked like a sweet find too. I love the way the paint gets all peely on the walls of these old places. The school I explored was built in 1930 or so, do you know when this one was built (looks to be about the same time period, based on the style and furnishings). Anyway, great explore, thanks for sharing!

Thank you! Yea your explore sounds pretty similar to mine. Old schools tend to be that way. I think I mentioned it in my short write-up, but the school was built around the 1910's or so.

Great set as always Mick!

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

Another vote for 3 and 7 ...11 and 14 sooo Good! Love the lighting and color. Some are Bright, some are Moody. Awesome contrasting shots.

Thank you! While I still tend to lean towards more of a moody style, I definitely have come to appreciate some brighter and more colorful edits. It's good to have variety.
