While this technically wasn't my first explore, it was the first time where I intentionally made a trip somewhere just for the sake of exploration rather than just stumbling upon a small find. These shots were taken back when I was still using a cellphone to shoot on and before I had much editing experience. That aside, I hope you enjoy the set.

This factory used to be part of the automotive industry until it unexpectedly had to close up shop due to budget cuts within the company. The place was absolutely massive, spanning over one million square feet. Most of the equipment had been auctioned off when the building closed, however there was still plenty of things left behind. To my knowledge this location was not known among the urbex community. We didn't even find any signs of vandalism or graffiti during our entire exploration. Unfortunately this whole entire property has now been bulldozed.

#1 - One of many small sheds/buildings located on the outskirts of the property

#2 - Outside view of the main complex

#3 - Side gate and guard shack

#4 - Painting of some form of engine found inside the first room

#5

#6 - Pictures don't do justice to the scale of this place

#7

#8

#9

#10 - This room had most of the machinery still intact

#11 - "Boiler room sludge"

#12 - Looking down into that same machine room

#13

#14

#15

#16

#17 - Guess it takes a lot to mop these floors

#18 - Summit or bust (Made it to the roof)

#19 - Interior guard shack at front entrance

#20 - Some tools that were left behind

#21 - This whole room was filled with keys for the entire place

#22

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

Great stuff!!

Do you mind if I ask what kind of cars were manufactured here? I am going to guess it was a GM plant of some sort.

Great shot of the keys!

#4 is a transfer case. It transfers power from the transmission to the front and rear wheels in 4 wheel drive vehicles. Awesome set by the way.

Thank you! Without going into too much detail, I can say that specific cars were not manufactured here. This place was used to manufacture and supply certain parts to other companies in the industry.

You are so good at composition! And the lighting really conveys the mood.

I love #4 and #11...just something about them. Would totally buy a poster.

Thank you! While the thought of a poster does sound cool, I don't think these shots would fare too well on larger prints since they were done on a cellphone.
