Underground Buddhist hell

This is a really weird and obscure one. All around East Asia and Southeast Asia they have these Buddhist hell places, they are basically weird collections of statues or animatronics showing you the punishment for your sins when you croak. I guess asian parents keep their kids in line by taking them to these places and traumatizing them.

Anyways I found this abandoned one hidden inside a cave hidden in the mountains in Tokushima prefecture, Japan. There was a big metal gate blocking the cave entrance so I got in by somehow squeezing my body underneath the gate. It was really tight squeeze and I almost got stuck which was kind of terrifying. Inside the cave was pitch black and full of crabs which made for a good spooky explore.

There was also a Buddhist paradise section of the cave, which had naked mannequins fucking, giant penis statues, and a giant statue of Lord Gautama himself. But I have somehow lost part of the photos I took that night, and I lost all the photos from paradise.

Here is a slide show of hell.

What a strange location. I have yet to explore any grottoes. This may be the weirdest I have seen yet. You have a knack for the obscure!

holy moly this is cool!!

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

What.

That is the facial expression of a man who is very pleased with himself

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

That's kind of creepy but I mean whatever works for them. I guess that's sort of the equivalent of parents who tell their kids to go to sleep or the boogyman will get them.
