Not sure how specific we are allowed to be with locations here, but once you see the pics and if you live around there you should be able to take a good guess at where it is. It was a 20 min drive for me but totally worth it. Not sure if there's a profile for this location yet, or if there ever was, but part of it has been renovated into a memorial. There was a guard actively driving around but I think he realized I wasn't going to break into it or anything and just stayed out of my way. As for the history on this place, I have only what I can find on Wikipedia and little website, so nothing really official or detailed. Everyone calls it a sanitarium, not smart enough to dispute that, but it was also a tuberculosis center for kids before it was shut down.
First thing you see when you get away from the main (active) building:
Mold and general nastiness:
Giant courtyards:
Some wood work. Not sure if this was a porch at somepoint or what but it's all pretty brittle now:
Another door:
And another, hidden behind the shrubs:
Stickers on the windows:
Misc:
I was able to pind a busted window so I stuck my camera in there, all i got was this but still, pretty nice:
I have more pictures, but these were the highlights. I have an imgur album with all the pictures too, but I'm not sure if links are approved of here. Overall, this was a great place, and if you know of where this is I'd totally check it out. (If this post was formatted wrong or included something I shouldn't have (or vise versa) please tell me!)
