I meant to post this a while back, but I have been going through a bad breakup and did not have the energy to post anything.

In Havana, I was able to go to the bell tower of the Basilica San Francisco, and an additional old convent/school that has been abandoned but preservationists are trying to preserve. The church dates to the 1580s but was altered in the 1730s. The convent is, I believe, from the 1700s with several buildings added over the centuries. It was very hard to get to explore as we were given a guarded tour!

2. Rickety stairway up the tower. The salty wind blowing from the ocean was pretty strong that day!

3. A lot of nails were missing from the floorboards and I had a heart attack stepping on them!

11. Our tour guide explained these old wagon wheels are from the horse-drawn cart the nuns used to use.

13. I'm obsessed with the ceramic tile found everywhere in Havana. This kitchen was full of it.
