I really like the first one, it reminds me of The Last of Us.

Pictures like the second one are difficult. Usually, you either end up with everything outside the window being too bright or everything inside being too dark. That's just the nature of it. Not to say yours is bad or anything, but keep experimenting with lighting and see if you can get the whole shot more evenly lit.

I think a tripod and maybe some HDR work could make this picture better. But yeah I've been taking photos for a while but only recently began really thinking about composition. Finally getting a digital camera def helps.
