Not haunted. Not even a little bit. I think, after being in there alone for a few hours, I'd know.

Really awesome looking place. I really liked pic 2, 9, 15 and 16. GREAT photography! The fireplaces, lighting, and details excel, but your watermark isn't necessary in my lowly humble opinion ....Your beautiful work speaks for itself

Nice photos of the interior! I'm a sucker for a good picture of architectural details, particular the mantel shots

Thank you, I truly appreciate that! And I don't personally care for the watermark either, BUT, a certain "group" or "photographer" took the liberty of using the fireplace pictures, claiming them as their own. So...

Of all people that I was afraid of on here!! THANK YOU!!!!! I've read through the critique forum, and I'm not joking, while I was out today, I kept thinking "blackhawk would kill you for taking the shot like that."
Truly, I appreciate the compliment immensely

Stunning location and wonderful pictures. I was expecting something more like Ft. Ord (which is also not haunted-but I'm a skeptic so I'd say that about anywhere), not anything remotely this ornate.

This isn’t the photo critique forum; post there you deserve to get an honest opinion. Anything else defeats it's purpose.
I generally don't napalm anyone unless they are trolling, are troll, advocating obviously dangerous or destructive acts, giving bum info, or being a bs ass.

Your first post was exactly what a first post should be here; exploring with pics.
How refreshing.
So much nicer than the begging for hand outs, how do I get my FM, the endless UEDB Q's, we were shot at and other bs stories, how do you do this because I'm too lazy and not very interested in this site to read even the pin ups and tutorials, no one knows me; tell me detailed site info, starting flamewars with mods and FMs, acquiring locked threads, posting bs threads/posts on the Main or Tutorial forums, etc.
Read as many tutorials, pin ups and threads as possible here. It takes time to learn the culture here; a little patience and common sense go a long way.
You also didn't make the mistake of going into a butthurt rampage when you were critique by flySparro.
When n00bies do that, we notice.

UER really is one the best sites on the internet.
There are a lot of good people here and always room for one more...

That, in a sense, is unfortunately common in any forum with skill/experience. I figure it like this: Just because I have been doing this for years doesn't mean anything HERE. It's like being a kid who has college prep courses in school, but goes to a new school; you can't walk into a new class like you know everything because the whole point is to LEARN. I like to learn about things I'm passionate about (sadly, seems strange these days), AND I've been doing it alone this whole time, so I don't really think I know much at all, other than my experiences, and how to use a camera (sometimes).
OF COURSE I'm excited to learn about new places, but I'm not desperate; the old art of LOOKING still serves me well. It's like noobies to UB think Google will spoon feed them locations like it does everything else. One of the threads mentioned "driving down dirt roads" and LOOKING. EXACTLY. Boarded windows are usually a good sign!
(I also find myself being extremely careful to avoid brutality with some of the posts I've read from us noobs... Like common sense is just extinct... BUT, I don't want to go pissing anyone off with being too blunt... Yet.)

I've never heard of that place; I'll have to do some research. I'm also a huge skeptic. The ghost people seem to think EVERY abandoned place is haunted... And they have all had a man/woman murdered inside and blah blah blah... It's entertaining to say the least.
"Oh, I heard a tapping."
No you didn't, you heard pigeons in the ceiling, or mice, idiot.
"I heard foot steps!"
Negative; that's called ambient noise, OR settling.
"I heard a voice... It said..."
*SMACK*
"OOH LOOK AT THE ORBS IN MY PICTURE!!"
We call that dust. Turn off the flash, problem solved.

Wow. It's been a long time since I've been there. Somebody took the chair lift on the staircase it seems? Did you hit the basement? The collage down there creeped me the fuck out. Good work!

Yes, unfortunately the chair lift was gone. Awesome vandals. I was there a long time ago and got to see it though, but that was way before I was into photography. The basement is all around awesome, but I didn't get shots down there. The collage is really just... WEIRD. Like, "who the fuck thought that was a good idea?"
