Cold day: -9 Celsius with hard wind and just that little snow from the sky that it alone weren’t enough for photos. For man like me, who’s hands and feets are always cold, even in summer, staying at home did feel pretty good option, but that did came from my brains, not from my heart… so as soon as there where enough light I was on the road. First I did head to this old farm house at countryside. I’ve found that much information of it that it were built at 1919… and few years ago there still were 1976 calendar hanging on the kitchens floor.
In Coldness, Alone:
Sad Sauna:
Not too many photos from there. At this point I were already so damned cold, that returning to home was on my mind… but so was understanding of that I already were on the road. So I did decide to go check if that small farm that were for sale at last summer would have change. It wasn’t. I can tell that walk from the end of that very small but pretty long road that leads to there were quite… long. First of all it was completely frozen (like all other roads too), covered by clear ice which were covered thin layer of new snow. Add there that cold weather and hard wind… blowing through that large field. Almost 1 kilometer walk to there… and same to back.
Still There:
Moment from Oblivion:
Not too many photos from there. At this point I did think that hell yeah, I will return to that two room house… even my last visit to there were at late autumn, so this did come bit too soon to really get into mood. But… it is so close to dying, moment when gravity wins and I did want to take some photos from there too with that ultra wide lens. So there did I go. Feels sad to see it like that, know that soon it will be mostly gone. I’ve been photographing it since 2007 and this were my 27th trip to there. I’ve been there in every season and almost in every time of day. I’ve been light painting there alone at –20 coldness… at sweet and soft summer mornings… and soon it won’t happen anymore. It really feels sad. But now I still was there, so…

And then to off-topic-bonus-photo. Yeah, my brains have again frozen to that “ice at the rivers and rapids – what a wonderful world” mode. This comes from small river rapids. Tree trunk were fallen on and into stream. I see some kind ice creature there:
That’s it. Happy weekend for everyone! J
