I went to Mexico not too long ago to visit the Mayan ruins which were incredible. And I learned that there are tons of undiscovered ruins all over Mexico from ancient cities and communities but because the jungle in Mexico is so dense in many parts it is unexplorable. According to the tour guide sometimes groups of archaeologists come and weed wack through the jungle to try to locate more buildings and I remember thinking that would be such a cool job!! Literally just getting paid to search for abandoned cities.

I have been considering taking up a trade or taking engineering in school. I'm 32 though, so I am not sure if I really want to wait until I am 37 before I start making a decent living.

You're not in a brothel lineup. You're in a two way business discussion.

Darian, from http://www.headfirstadventures.com/, was a historian and museum curator exploring, guiding tours, and writing on the weekends, but it kept him indoors too much. He went back to school and got an engineering degree and now does specialty property surveys and cartography and gets paid to explore all over the US.

I'm also a senior in HS, and I've been considering a job with the local public service company when I am done with college. I got the idea when I saw a PSE&G guy down in a manhole on my way home and I asked him what it was like down there. I took a peek and it was a fairly sizable room, I think it contained some kind of telecom cables. I guess working for the gas/electric/water/phone company has you working underground a lot. Or you could be a structural engineer or surveyor, that would give a lot of access as well. Or, since you like steam tunnels, you could go to Virginia Tech, which has 6 miles of them.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Most major colleges have crazy tunnels. The University of Texas has a huge tunnel system. In the early 2000s, it was definitely possible. Some people got in around that time and got in trouble for it. The tunnels have been lined with motion sensors ever since.

I started video editing in 2008-2009, doing small animation. I never been pay, and i got more and more skills, some of my video got 100 000k views. Just loving the images matching the beat of the music. I started photography and urbex pretty much at the same time in 2016-2017. In the past i already learn a lot about composition and angles and by watching a lot of tutorial. So I started first time doing real life video editing, inspiring from other creator like Sam Kolder. I got a friend that work as inspector of electric pylon, so he got access to roof and electric tower. One day, he ask me if i would like to follow him for his inspection, it was like 4-5hours of trip, an electric tower in the middle of an forest. I thought i could make a nice video of my trip, bringing my dslr and my gopro, so he can filmed at the top of the tower. I made a video and i got approached by a director who want to use my video and another that i made in a crane for his reportage about urbex. I never thought that i will be get paid for doing something as hobby. It was a really good reward for all the hard work I made. Never stop doing what you like, one day something like my situation will happen to you, they will like what you do and approach to you! This is the video i was talking about https://m.youtube....atch?v=DhDD0I-N164
