Hi, so I've tried posting photos to a couple of forums and the bot always tell me the file size is too large. They're just regular .jpg files, don't know why they wouldn't work. Sorry if this question has been answered, I looked, couldn't find it asked.

Have you resized them, or are they straight out of your camera and would be like 2200 pixels wide?

Also, do you have any alternatives for where to host the pictures, rather than on UER?

The process is much easier if you go through a hosting site as Steed mentioned.
Flickr is a particularly smooth process if you have an account there. If not, it's free for up to a terabyte of JPG's and even short to medium video clips (I think it's up to 15 minutes but I never do video so I'm not positive).

^^^This. Being fairly new myself, I've played around with all the formats and Flickr has been the best for me. It's pretty easy to make an account too.

Try to limit the size and number of pics you do post.
Go with the keepers.
Huge bandwidth hog photo posts tend to get ignored especially if it's trash pics.
