I got an illness after investigating a moldy beer.. yeah.. never again.

Ice tea is a perfect culture for... slime mold, so I've learned
Doesn't take long sometimes either; a day or so unrefrigerated.
Slides down real easy, lol, lots of body.

Meh, better safe than doubled over in cramps.

Lol, it -is- a toxin.
It looked and smelled ok, but once I started to swallow it I realized it was thick.
Too late.
I thought it might make me sick. It did.
A great new disgusting way to get food poisoning.
Perfect.

Funny smell or taste even if not a bad odor or taste means don't eat it, not even a bite.
One bite is all it takes.
Sometimes you end up with something like salmonella and get violently sick for days.
Better have a bathtub in front of the toilet; we're talking full projectile vomiting and far worse coming out the back side.
Off season soft ice cream is best avoided...

During the off season when sales are slow some owners fail to throw out unsold old soft ice cream and clean the machine regularly as required to keep bacteria counts down.

Point is you never know what's growing in improperly handled food. A crap shoot.
Typhoid fever is a virulent strain of salmonella and it's out there.
Thousands die in the US every year from food poisoning mostly the weak and ones with preexisting health issues.
But not always; being young and healthy doesn't always save you... and for some of the survivors damage can be permanent.

Most victims of food poisoning never realize their illness was food related and think it's the flu or they caught a 'bug'. Salmonella has up to a 72 hour incubation time until symptoms first appear, long after the tainted food was eaten.
If what's coming out your backside smells to high heaven with a very foul sulphurous odor it most likely is salmonella. Fun times.

Lol, that was a good one

Some people here are so concerned with 'do I need a respirator', but fail to realize it's what you eat, drink and willfully ingest that can really take a bite out of you.

Or worse, fail to see a hellhole in time.

When we first got in the free beer was mostly still good, just had to avoid the ones with visible floaties

Cave Beer!

That was awesome, but I stuck to the see-through bottles for that reason.

Was stuck in the same hole 3 weeks prior to these kids. Took sometime but we managed to get out after a couple hours of heavy lifting. Dissapointed in whoever called. Reconnaissance from the other night however shows they are still very sloppy at sealing anything.
