Rooftop Photography Question

I recently found an open rooftop and decided to risk it. Here are some of the pictures that I took, although I really don't know how to make them any better. What pictures do you take when high up? Are there any edits you routinely do with roof topping pictures? Sorry about the pictures not being framed properly, I was rushing because there is a silent alarm on the roof access door.

P.S.: These pictures are on google drive because the gallery creator was crashing constantly.

That looks like a fun ass roof to run around on. Nice angles you got there as well, what city is this in? As for your question, I don’t think there’s a set of rules for rooftopping photography. The common types of photos like feet dangling are way overdone and boring. You’ll really stand out if you find new angles.

These pictures were taken in Ottawa on some hotel. I won't say exactly where it was (got approached by a manager and threatened with the police...) although it should be easy to find if you look around downtown.

Naw naw, I just didn't recognize the city, I'll keep that in mind though if I ever hit up Ottawa though haha.

I've never actually been rooftopping so I'm no expert on photographing things like that, but I like the angles you used. The ones looking directly downward were some of my favorites.

Certainly the most important thing is working on composition. Of everything you got, I like 3 and the last one the most, the two where you're looking down. Maybe the others are good depending on the viewer's familiarity with the city.

The most important things to look at are the lines visible in each picture, and giving a sense of the height. You'd probably be better off turning the camera sideways in most cases. As well as trying to capture a cityscape with some relatable amount of scale, you can also go abstract, zooming in and getting closeups of buildings -- the windows, the contrast between two buildings, etc.
