Driven past this building countless of times over the years. I am not sure when it was last used. But all of it could be yours for $1 000 000, as it is for sale. its a bit of a.... fixer upper

built in 1915, opened in 1916.

There used to be a large extension to the building at the back (left side of the photo) where the theatre and the change room was located. I am not sure when it was removed.

Beginning of the exploration... this considerably lowered my expectations.

TV room

Do you want....a balloon?

Heres a rarety. The whole kitchen is smashed up... but the china is mostly intact.

Come up and play

Pennywise was not home today

Dated 1992

And therein, as the bard would tell us, lies the rub.

Damn, #s 8-10 are one beautiful lonely chair.

Weird the different states of the different rooms of this building. Smashed vs empty.

Place looked pretty good until #6, that exposed area went downhill real fast.

Great shots.

Nice find, I'm always thrilled when I stumble upon large indoor murals like that, or is that a curtain? I wonder if the branches across the ceiling were hung before or after it was abandoned.

Its a mural, back in 1930. There was a proper theater stage behind it. That part of the building has long been gone. A solid wall now stand there.
As far as the branches... ill say they got hung before being abandoned. Cant imagine anyone making time to climb up to tie branches up there in an abandoned place.

Went to see for myself on the way home today, thanks for sharing this one. Your camera must have a pretty damn good flash, it was pitch black in there, my cellphone was useless (shattered lens cover doesn't help).

I use a tripod, a flash light and long exposures. I almost never use the flash. Been considering buying a flood light for the carema, but mostly to do portraits at night
