Scary Mary, The Love Shack and Rover's Graveyard < on 9/19/2017 6:03 PM > | Reply with Quote
At the weekend I visited three small locations that are very close to one another. The weather conditions couldn't have been more perfect to explore isolated houses. Thick fog making sure everything looked extra spooooky.
First up was a small farmhouse which has been dubbed Scary Mary's Farmhouse - for reasons which will become obvious soon.

Next up, a place nicknamed The Love Shack - which I think is old farm workers accomodation. Two wooden shacks joined together with a kitchen at one end and five single rooms. Constructed entirely of wood, the roof and floor of the corridor splitting the two shacks in half has completely collapsed making for some entertaining movements between each room. There isn't a whole lot inside but a couple of the rooms have some neat stuff left behind. It won't be long until it totally collapses in on itself however.

And finally in this little round up of rural dereliction is a small car graveyard. I've shot a bunch of these this year as old cars are one of my greatest passions, and this is a little beauty. There is an attached equally abandoned house but it had recently been resealed with a big padlock but I didn't mind too much as it was the cars I wanted to see - a trio of rare Rover P5s and a very rare Wolseley 15/60 - a variant of the Farina designed Austin A60.
