Nice one

There's a certain magic about long abandoned manor house shells.

I'm so obsessed with UK abandonments. Every site is not only old and creepy looking, but also surrounded by a haunted forest. Awesome work.

Spot on. Every time I go up to a place like these it seems so much more epic with the overgrowth and isolation. We just don't have that here.

It gets me down that there are no newly impoverished peers of "diminished means" with a rotting family home on this side of the pond. I'm glad the shells are kept around for us who enjoy them. Thank you.

A lot of the time they are still listed, protected buildings so cannot be demolished without special legal consent, yet they are too far gone, or in too much of an isolated position, for any development opportunities - so they just get left to become real 'modern' ruins.

Those shots are really stunning! I love the way the color pops on the vegetation attached to the buildings.

The listings I found was the real key to discovering many. I wish we had this approach to our history.
