TL;DR: I am a dog person

Pups are among my favorite things and I often run across them while out exploring. Thought it would be fun to create a place for us to share these finds.

Tada, here it is...

Friendly Arkansas pup

We found this little one wandering the streets in Arkansas. She did not appear to understand cars could hurt her. We brought her to our hotel room and went somewhere; the place escapes me at the moment. When we got back, she had torn up the door molding something awful. We cleaned up and all slept well. Fortunately we didn't discover any additional damage upon waking.
As luck would have it, this was a holiday weekend so animal control was closed. We took her to the police station and they said, "We don't take dogs”, no amount of explaining moved them… hardasses! I was beyond tempted to leave her with them and run out the door to the waiting car, but thought better of it. We sought advice elsewhere on where to take her and someone told us about a vet in the area that often took in strays. As I recall, no one was home there but it seemed like a relatively affluent neighborhood and far from traffic. Since, no one in our group was prepared to add another four-legged friend to their family, we released her in the neighborhood hoping the vet would find her or that someone there would take her in.

I remember #2!
Thankfully, the motel didn't charge me extra! I remember going door-to-door where we found her with a photo on my phone. Most of the residents thought I was just crazy, lol. No clues, unfortunately.
She was a sweetheart, but she was a handful.

Neat idea. I love dogs too. Here's a pic of my own dog accompanying me on an explore in Broken Bow, OK a few years ago.

Awww, thanks for adding these puppers.

Here's one that was "guarding" a closed prison. Poor buddy was so friendly, he
nearly tied himself up in the razor wire trying to get petted.
