Hello again 'Berta!

The time has come, for the second annual Alberta Meetup. See last year's spoils here.

I have made this thread publically viewable, so it's best to discuss or post any hard meetup details here.

What to expect this year:

• Who: Anyone over 18 who lives in Alberta or is willing to make the trip.
  
  If you're under 18 and would like to explore, feel free to message some of the local members to see about going out privately. One must be cautious entering into any potential trespassing or dangerous situation with a minor.
  
  No guests. Anyone interested in attending should sign up for a UER account and post below, it's easy!
  
  
• What: 1-3 days of locations. Scouting, exploring, or visiting existing spots! Bring your works-in-progress, new finds, and ideas! There may also be pizza.
  
  
• Where: We've got a number of explorers from both Calgary and Edmonton. In last year's fashion, we'll have a YYC and a YEG date. Hopefully you can make one or both!
  
  
• When: Last year, weekends worked best. See the poll above. If you can't do any of these dates, please discuss below.
  
  
• Why: To see our 'Berta friends, find and explore new locations, take some pictures, meet locals, meet people from around the province, and generally have a good time. Why else?

Your assistance in planning and being honest and open with your level of commitment is greatly appreciated. If you want to bounce some ideas around, please PM me!

Please include the following in your responses:

• Any thoughts on the suggested dates vs. your schedule
  
• Your assessment of existing/new locations in YYC/YEG
  
• Your transportation situation and are you willing to travel?
  
• What you'd like to see
  
• What kind of food you're gonna bring (optional)

I'm open for any weekend dates, I should mention Chronular has moved to more fertile land.

My time is limited but I will be in Edmonton for the first two weekends of July. It would be good to pop in on something simple when I have the free time, even if just drinks after you climb out of a hole in the ground.

Rad! Stay tuned for Edmonton portion. Looking like it might be Canada Day weekend. I hope y'all don't mind missing the fireworks once (or once more) in your life.

im game for first weekend of july, and will have my own fireworks, so no one will miss anything

This'll be my first Canada day since like 2003, so I'm not going to be around that night. But is there any thought to finding a roof adjacent to the fireworks? We do that in Seoul to great effect.

I was in YEG in the last few days and driving around, from the outside of buildings all over the city I'm looking around: "bando... bando.... another bando..." This city looks ripe. Hahaha

Hey guys...long time lurker and recently signed up. I'm a bit out of the norm of the usual UE but have been doing it periodically for about a year and looking to meet some like minded people and new locations. I'd love to participate but feel free to PM me if you want to know more about me etc...

I really should be paying more attention to the dt rooftops, I'll scout around if theirs anything decent.

I'm still good for Canada day weekend as the set date.

Or along Saskatchewan Drive even. I actually got on top of Strathcona House once, albeit with permission when I was a resident.

we could possibly go sit on newb playground roofs, as those ones are maybe 1000 yrds from the launch site other then that not really sure where else would be a good place

I actually might have something but its not easy to access.

Will be out of province July 1st-August 9th but keen for a meetup.

This is a common location? C'est possible, but maybe something newer or more daring. At the same time, safe and chill might be nice if it's gonna be 5+ of us just hanging, watching the 'werx.
