I'm jealous that you're actually able to find decent stuff. The only time I've found decent stuff is during throwout week here in Fargo.

so erm, I found a P3 1000 Mhz the other day in a small plastic little box, I know its a socket 370 but I don't really know much about the P3 era. I kinda skimmed from a PII to a P4. Anyways, I need to know how to tell the difference between the coppermine and the tualatin and I need to find a compatible motherboard.

So long as the mobo runs 133Mhz FSB with a BX chipset it should run it fine. I could be a lot more specific if the pictures weren't so blurry. Can you give me the text that appears on the sticker there?

sorry, my camera kinda sucks...

Ok, it has 3 stickers

the big white one has a UPC code on it

one says:

Intel '01 Malay (date and locatin made?) and says 1000/256/133/1.75 which is the speed, I think the cache, the bus, and the power consumed

and another says

0510A444-0459
Pentium III SL52R

and I just realized it was a coppermine...

Yeah, that 133Mhz FSB and 1.75v is a pretty sure sign.
