This place was my first 'real' explore shortly after i got my first DSLR, this is what really got me into urbex and such. This place was abandoned in ~2005 and has been attempted to be renovated 3 times, by 3 different owners. All three of the projects ran out of funds, and construction was stopped. From the stories my dad has told me from the club that was inside of the hotel, it was a pretty nice place back in it's prime. Lots of Vandalism in this place, being so accessible by the public, and had an encounter with the coolest homeless person I've ever met.

8.)The sign on the wall for the old "Ambassadors" Nightclub

9.)Inside View of one of the rooms, my left leg fell through a hole in the concrete floor immediate after taking this pic, slamming my brand new D3300 into the concrete and breaking the 18-55 lens

Cool pics. That said, can you tell us about the cool homeless person? I'm intrigued.

Cool pics. That said, can you tell us about the cool homeless person? I'm intrigued.

We were exploring at about 10pm one night and we had to cross a large opening that is visible by the main road to get to a secondary building, we all turned off our flashlights to not be noticed crossing the lot from the road, until we heard a noise from the other building. We pointed our flashlights from where we heard the noise and saw a man standing in a bright red shirt. This startled all of us as we hadn't seen him before walking across the lot. He realized we wernt who he thought we were (cops) and said "I'm not gonna hurt ya, you're ok." after getting over the initial shock of the situation, we stood outside the building getting some long-exposures we had a very nice conversation about life and how he became homeless.
