This abandoned school is in North Carolina. It is the site of incredible abuse and mistreatment, and it is said to be haunted for this reason. One of the interesting things we found out while there is that the abandoned and decayed parts surround a functioning youth detention center.

Even though this place is popular among photographers from the nearby colleges, the police still frown on visitors. The officer that asked us to leave admitted that he hates being called for property checks at night because the place just gives him the creeps.

Looks like a fun and creepy place to explore! It sucks you were asked to leave, but at least the cop was cool about it.

For future reference, it's generally looked down upon to post the real name and location of a place in a public thread. While it looks like the site is somewhat vandalized and well-known, it could be a lot worse, and using a made-up name can help to keep places prettiful for longer.
