Alongside the synagogue, this was my favourite spot of the trip.

I'd never explored a courthouse before, and I had never seen photos of this one online so boy was I in for one incredible surprise. It is one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever set foot in, and seeing it abandoned like this is kind of heartbreaking.

Our original plan on gaining entry was spoiled by a police cruiser facing the exact spot we were planning on entering the building through, however there was a backup plan which got us in well out of sight of the parked up police.

The combination of that incredible architecture and that perfect lighting is absolutely sublime! Fantastic work, man!

This place is great! And great photos! Ive heard horror stories about people trying to get in here. It is pretty heavily guarded by the police now, so great job getting in.

Yes it did seem to be watched over fairly well - we didn't expect to see a trooper parked in the lot at about 6am on a Sunday morning that's for sure! He was joined by a second car for a time as well which wasn't helped by Essex wandering casually in front of the windows facing straight at the cars a number of times lol!

I have no idea what you use to shoot these places, how you process or what voodoo you work to get these images but MY GOD you take AMAZING photos! I hate sounding like a giddy teenage girl but I love your work! PLEASE come to Texas and let me follow you around for a few weeks!

A seven year old battered and bruised Canon EOS 550D, a sturdy tripod and a good eye ;)

Excellent location and shots bud!! I'm gonna have to add this one to list. It looks downright amazing!

Im not surprised there was a trooper in the lot honestly. Everyone I have talked to recently has either been caught here or came damn close.
