I just found out that i have a 180w psu. I was wondering how many watts my system actually uses. im also running a radeon 9800 pro, and it runs fine, but i want to add more fans and lights and such. will this affect my system as far as overloading the power supply goes?

I honestly don't know but i think this is a good deal even though you won't need all 600W

180W? A Radeon 9800 Pro? Holy shit, I'm amazed the thing isn't giving you problems now. I've got a 350W P4 and I'm afraid to put an ATI card in here... but seeing this, I think I'll be just fine lol.

Anyway, you've got a minitower? Does that mean that its not ATX? Possibly Mini-ATX ? If so, you'll need to find the appropriate PSU for it. Sometimes E-machines and other makers (IBM, Dell) make it hard for you to swap out PSU's, motherboards, cases, because they make them in non-standard form factors.

My case, PSU and motherboard are all ATX and built by myself. Makes things easy. If you do find a PSU, go for something like a 480W. That'll keep you going for a long time.

180 watts? Is that correct? I know of boxes with considerably less then what you have for specs that managed to fry 300 watt powersupplies. I have a 450 offbrand in mine and I wish I had a 500 Antec.
