Central Illinois Urbex. Who's out there?!

I'm currently looking for an urbex group around the central Illinois area to explore and share locations with. I don't have camera gear, but my phone takes some pretty sweet pictures, and I'm always down to drive. If anyone is interested, reply on this post so I know I'm not alone haha! I'll also be sharing a few houses in my area that I've explored recently.

I've already given you some of my thoughts in the rookie forum. I'm at least a few hours drive away from you, I don't have enough spots around here to warrant you taking a trip, but I know there are some others in this area, maybe they would be down to explore some.

I would really like to explore with a small group. Chicago has a bunch of stuff. Maybe meet there and pick some spots?

I've found some neat spots near Eureka and Secor that I'd like to check out and bring a few people to. I was able to get into the Eureka house and some of the surrounding buildings (two others and a garage that was locked) The house had a lot in it including clothes still hung up in the closets and a marriage license from 1888. Definitely had animals living within the upper levels due to the flooding. Speaking of, the basement was intact with loads of stuff, but it was flooded with approximately 4 inches of water. I wasn't able to get many pictures due to the weather, but I hope to go back soon. Also, what is the best way to post pic dumps? I tried posting a single picture and it says that the file is too large.

I think a lot of people upload to Flickr or Photobucket, and embed them in their post. Thats how I usually do it. The UER upload tool can be finicky sometimes.

If any of your ever come up towards Milwaukee we have a bunch of spots up here. We have a small group (Just a couple friends), and we explore some of the abandoned factories around here or just chill out on some rooftops. I visit Chicago sometimes in the summer, if i'm ever in the area again i'll be sure to hit you up

Definitely need to hit up Milwaukee. Detroit is up on the list too, but I'll only go with a group hahaha. This summer, I'll try to make it up to you so we can chill on some rooftops! And thanks for the heads up about Flickr and photobucket, I think I have an account with one of them

Define "central Illinois" please.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

I say I'm from the Peoria area because not many people know my hometown (Washington, about 20 minutes outside of Peoria) if they aren't familiar with the area.

I also just made an Imgur, so I'll be posting all of my pictures there and slap the URL here for all to enjoy! My name for Imgur is Dave Rancer if you'd like to check it out on the site. I just posted 3 pictures of the exterior of a house outside of my hometown. I'll try to get interior pictures, but it's all boarded up and I'm not good friends with the WPD lol
