Knox-Henderson Station

Not much info about this inaccessible abandoned place on the internet, and I found no pictures of the interior, so it was my duty to go take some...

Knox-Henderson station is an abandoned subway station in Dallas, TX, that was supposed to be a DART light rail station.. but the NIMBY yuppies in the area protested the station's completion, so the station was carved out but never opened. There are still some traces of its existence: at the place where the station's entrance would've been (and will be if it's ever finished) at the intersection of Willis Ave and Central Expressway 75, there is a large vent with a vertical drop, however it's covered with a metal grate. Across the street from that vent is a door on the ground that serves as the opening for the emergency exit stairs from the station, however it's very securely sealed off with a bolt.

The reason there's little info about this place on the internet is its inaccessibility, the only way to get in would be by very illegally breaking and entering. However I still managed to get a picture of what's under the vent opening.

This is what the vent looks like, you could find it on google street view too:

A sign on the side says it's DART property.

And now for what has never been posted on the internet: This is what's inside, under the metal grating.
I couldn't get it on my phone camera, the only way to see it is to lean over the edge, but that chasm on the far left goes really far deep, it's a large vertical drop and made me shudder a bit. I assume it goes down to the excavated station area. There weren't any stairs or doors or anything.

Emergency exit across the street:

This is the exit for stairs that come from the excavated station. It's bolted down

First off can you make your pictures smaller. And second can we make this thread private please? Great job naming it.

The pics are a little hard to see, but the one of the exit stairs is pretty cool!

Since o.p. didn't actually get in or explore it, Im not sure what there is to hide or protect a steel grate on a public street?

D magazine told everyone in Dallas about it at least two years ago (been there for much longer) see the intelligent comments from their readers..
http://interactive...e-the-ghost-train/

Wikipedia wrote it up theres even a map or two out there so even the non-local directionally challenged people can find it.
https://en.wikiped...3Henderson_station

Hopefully no urban explorers will walk by and see this big steel grate and put 2+2 together it would be tragic if the word get out about this grate find!

Oh yes and the pictures are annoyingly large. Too large for my 21" monitor so you smart phone users are probably just s.o.l. on viewing this one.

Now before anyone starts calling the DART or the City Council and trying to lie your way in to the subway you might want to read this. Hint: Youll need a pretty good liability insurance policy to even get considered.

I wonder if they would allow someone in to photograph it even if they did have the required insurance

I sorta doubt it but who knows? I think the whole insurance thing is for people wanting to film a movie or tv commercial

These aren't the first up close pictures. People have been down there and taken nice pics but good luck finding them. It's a cool site but DART has been known to crack down on trespassing really hard, I wouldn't recommend to anyone getting any closer than you did.

Yeah theres not much info about it on the Internet...

https://dartdallas...rson-rail-station/

like they said: there is NO station down theres just a wide spot in the excavation and a hole where a station was GOING to be

Of course its possible that all these thousands of Google hits are a mass deception to conceal what is really a portal to The Texas Back Door and the real conspiracy behind the JFK assassination. [/i]

Somebody should go UER it ASAP !

Warning! This post contains sensitive multi government information.

Reading further could bring you to the attention of agencies that are so
bad ass they don't have names.

Read on your own risk. I issue this warning to clear my conscience of any
innocent blood that is spilled because of what I am about to type.

I have been told by a moderately reliable source that this "station" is in fact
fully functional. This information is first hand from his cousin who has a
roommate that works at Best Buy as a car audio technician. While installing a new
subwoofer in a sweet Prius (batteries had to be added) he happened upon a printed
page from the internet that had a reference to this location as being a direct
connection to none other than the "Desertron" or as we all know it the
Superconducting Super Collider (SSC).

This is a top secret location used to transport top secret people to the
bottom secret SSC.

Now I know that this might seem far fetched, but wait. I did not mention that
the paper that this information was printed on was 30% recycled paper, that meets
the government's strict paper standard as spelled out here:

Recycled Forms Bond

So this page was very obviously printed out on a government printer. It should be
noted that the car audio tech is something of a paper lover, who has spent his life
collecting and cataloging paper samples from around the world. He can identify any
piece of paper that is placed before him simply by licking it.

In saying all of this I fear that I have put myself in quite a bit of danger.
I am sure to be watched from this point on.

There were also references on this page that can be understood that this "excavation"
does not only service the SSC, but also has branches that can whisk people with high
enough clearance to a certain barn in Colorado, a door in Florida, and some tunnels
under Victoria B.C.

Now I have said too much. I might as well spill one more.

This guy at Best Buy, his name is Jasen Dostaviti. He is an immigrant from Croatia.
If you look at his name, "Jasen" though pronounced "ha-sen" in the native language
is the equivalent of "Jason" in our country. "Dostaviti" is the Croation word for
"deliver". Well, as we all know "Deliver" is also a synonym for "Born".

So yeah, Jasen Dostaviti is really Jason Borne.

So I will just let you decide for yourself now.
But I think that this evidence is pretty convincing.
