You know I normally never drop the name of a location. This is the exception. The place has been on my radar for about 5 years. I drove by yesterday at lunch and the entire campus is being leveled. I struck up a convo with the security guy who said that two other photographers had asked for permission and were turned away. When I asked what would happen if someone was caught taking photos he said that he would have to ask the person to leave - even if they were inside the structure. If caught again they would call the cops.

I mentioned all this to Mrs. Ulcer who literally told me that if I explored it and got arrested she would divorce me. Normally I would blow that off but she was dead serious as I had just started a new job yesterday.

With that being said I'm hoping that someone will shoot this place before its completely gone. If I cant see it I would at least like to live through someone else's lens!

Get permission from the demo contractor.
They literally have sole control that site until the demo is complete.
Almost every demo contractor will see you're arrested if caught on their site.

Yeah I would love nothing more than to find the foreman, work my magic, do my thing and move on. Unfortunately Mrs. Ulcer doesn't see it the same way. She's made it abundantly clear that there is no wnay in hell I'm seeing this place, permitted or not. Zero risk - period. Also the foreman is managing other jobs and is not on site full time. Nor is he ever there at the same time every day.

My only chance to see this place is if one of our intrepid Houston explorers can make it in and check it out. I hate being such a pussy but hey, if someone gets a cool explore out of it and I finally get to see this place I don't care!

Finally, thanks Matt I appreciate that! It WAS a good first day and day two was even better! After almost a year of unemployment it's nice to no longer be a burden on society...

Marriage aside, I'm very bummed about this turn of events. I thought this one looked pretty damn cool, if for no other reason than its shear size. I've got a couple others on my radar too from TI and I'm wondering if they will suffer the same fate...

This is why I love Astro, always to the point and never minces words!

I used to work right down the road from there. During the day hours I'd imagine it would be easy to gain access posed as a worker with the proper neon safety vest...........

I will shoot the hell out of this place... only I don't have a decent enough camera to do old TI justice. if you lend me your camera, I will get it done.
