I wouldn't say this one is worth the trip but it was still an adventure. Half of the building is caved in and the third floor is infested with large bee hives if you can even manage to climb up there. I don't advise going inside because the floors are very unstable.

1.

There are other shots I captured but I figured they weren't really worth posting because the only interesting part of this building is the exterior in my opinion.

Before I close I'd like to apologize to SouthShore and PepticUlcer for my previous behavior.

Wow, that sounds like a real flaming death pit. Neat exterior, though. Sometimes it isn't worth the likely injury.

Theres a lot of history behind that old place. Mrs. Ulcer and I were prepared to drive 3 hours out of our way to see it but BeauBeau the Dog's bowels had other plans... It's still on my short Urbex Bucket List however. Nice shot, glad you got to see it.

If its on your bucket list I'd recommend visiting it asap. I forgot who founded the location but when I was trying to update some of the info (before I found out you have to be a full member) I saw that OP announced its going to be demolished soon for a museum. If you go just make sure to take mind to the precautions I listed earlier. At least that's my advice. Have fun exploring, hope you can make the trip sometime.

Yech, I hate beehives. Doesn't sound worth it IMO, but I'm glad you got a nice picture (and that is a really nice picture) out of it.

If you knew the history of this place you would understand it's TOTALLY worth it! I would give some background but anything I could say would reveal its location. It's not like it's super secret - it's very well known, but this is a public forum and I hate the idea of some asshat deciding now is a good time to screw it up before I got to see it!

I rather deal with killer bee hives than a collapsing floor any day... most bees are relatively harmless.
A collapsing floor triggering a bee frenzy would not end well

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

You are Welcome! Good to hear you like my pics as well I have a thread on this place somewhere but it would take me forever to find it. Use to get out and about a lot before a bad fall. Surgery. Long Story. But, I've been having a bit of an identity crisis of late since i can't go like i use to.... and every so often, i see a place I've been and it reminds me of all the pics i use to post here and all the places I've been. Thank You for not minding the bump on your thread. I really mean no harm.

Oops, didn't know there was a history! Glad you got to see it, then. Now I'm really curious, but I get it about not wanting to reveal the name.

I had an incident when I was really young that left me frightened of bees, that's why I hate them so much. I'm sure a collapsing floor is objectively more likely to be lethal to the careless explorer, though.

I'm assuming its just quite a bit more run down than it was when you went. The place is hardly standing on its own. Almost every room is full of large planks with minimal places to walk by.

Good exterior shot of such a noble building. It is a shame it has become so dilapidated.
