I gotta say.....my heart was not in this.....so many industrial spots here.....I really like the hospitals and schools and staircases in the old souther mansions....but we work with what we have available....

the tanks with caustic and sludge have stuff in them I think...there is also a foul odor at that location....the concrete things in the last photo are empty..

The sludge probably wasn't a big deal. The ball valves on the manifold were plastic so in all likelihood whatever was in the tank was was more nasty than dangerous. The caustic on the other hand...

Get some height on the rest so you can square them off, they'll look better.

Unfortunately what you see in the viewfinder especially at first is not what see on the monitor.
The human eye and visual cortex are extremely complex and adaptable. "Realtime" images are perceived almost completely differently than 2D "dead" pics.
The way you present them is what makes the difference.
