Sunday School

It's been a few months since I've been on here regularly. Work, life and computer problems have all had a part in that. I have been out a few times so far this year and got into a couple of good locations. This set is from the last good spot I into last year before I hit a bit of a end of year slump.

With a church on the first floor and classrooms on the second this place almost feels like two separate locations. The basement was a social hall, but all that remains down there is a small stage and a Bingo machine. From what little information I could find the school portion went out of use in 1979 and the church itself finally closed it's doors roughly 10 years ago.

The building had power and a alarm until quite recently. Due to this the place is currently untouched by vandals, taggers and scrappers. It's just natural decay and beautiful unbroken stained glass. I was lucky enough to be one of the very first explorers inside and although it's not a large place it's right up there with my favorite explores of 2016.

The Eerie Silence of a Forgotten Church

Sugar, you make my soul complete
Rapture tastes so sweet

Faith is Crumbling

Unholy Confessions

And I can feel you in my prayer
And I will go with you away
I'm not a dreamer

We build this bridge, we burn it down
This life we live, we only get one

Manual Focus

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from hell

Playing Hooky

I see you in the morning when you go to school
Don't forget your books, you know you've got to learn the golden rule

Teacher tells you stop your play and get on with your work
And be like Johnnie-too-good, well don't you know he never shirks

I suppose I could collect my books and go back to school
Or steal my daddy's cue and make a living at playing pool

Anyone up for a game of....10 ball?

There was a farmer who had a dog....

Thank you for your kind words as always

The second shot is one of my favorites as well. The first time I went the lighting was perfect. The last two times it's been late in the day and the lighting has not been as ideal.

Awesome set! That second photo with the stained glass is wild. It looks like a disco or something.

I especially like the photo of that dusty pool table because of that weird angle you shot it from. It feels like you really wanted to play pool.
