A few weeks ago, I got to visit the so- called "Building 3," an abandoned missile supply depot and storage facility. Full members may recognize this location from the UER DB.

Currently, two of the buildings and some of the bunkers are used as storage by an adjacent business. I forgot to replace the batteries in my flashlight, so the last building remained unexplored. Never fear though, I have some bunker pics to make up for it.

1. Fire On The Horizon

This photo is of a line of bunker doors, with the sunset in the background. This made up most of the facility. Each bunker was slightly larger than a yard shed.

2. Military- Commercial Complex

The phrase "Class IX" on the bunker door means that this particular bunker contained repair parts and maintenance support.

3. Generations of Ruin

4. Military Precision

Most of the bunkers that were open had one of these signs on the back wall. The missiles listed on each sign are air- to- air missiles. That means that this was not a launch facility- rather, it was almost certainly a supply depot, given that this location was not an airfield.

5. Clubhouse

6. Entomb The World

This is a picture from inside one of the bunkers, looking out. Unfortunately, no actual military equipment remained in the bunkers. They were all full of junk- old furniture, hay, and gardening supplies, among other things.

7. Defcon 4

This is a view of the second row of bunkers. The road was a U shape, with bunkers on each side in the middle, back to back.

8. Tired of Conflict

10. One Shot To Win

11. Countdown To War

12. Lucky Spectre

I played around with some photo editing software to pull this off. I'm rather fond of it.

13. State Your Purpose

This was the checkpoint at the entrance- the first and last part of the facility I saw.

Bonus Pic

I happened to catch this on my way to Building 3. I'm rather happy with how it turned out- especially since I took it using Snapchat on my phone.

All in all, not a bad way to spend my evening.

cool stuff! is the blue-gray object inside the bunker in shot #5 a couch, or some sort of metal furniture/equipment?
